Your Education Your Voice was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization to provide financial and social empowerment services to members of low-income households and to encourage girls’ education.
About half of the Nigerian populace lacks adequate financial services, and microfinance lending in Nigeria is still at a stage where borrowers do not know the process. Inspired by my mother’s OSUSU business to help empower others, YEYV is helping to promote, contribute, and enhance financial inclusion further and stimulate the development of sound financial services in Nigeria.

helps people gain financial literacy and skills and start businesses, which can lead to greater self-sufficiency, economic growth, and a better future for individuals and communities. We are better together when WE can lift others through self-sufficiency.
We understand that donations can provide temporary relief but do not address the root cause of poverty. Promoting entrepreneurship, education, and self-sufficiency can help people break the poverty cycle and change their mindset of praying over something they do rather than partying in limbo. This strategy will help them build a better future for themselves and their families.
Dr. Nana
Ph.D, DBA
Dr. Nana Akaeze is a Professor of Leadership in Business and Education Policy, a dual-doctorate scholar, researcher, and advocate for girls’ education. She serves as an adjunct professor at multiple institutions in the United States. In addition, she teaches at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. Dr. Nana specializes in higher education leadership, policy development, qualitative research, Capstone advising, and sustainable capacity building. She is an experienced dissertation editor, journal reviewer, and APA alignment expert, widely recognized for her precision in developing strong problem statements and guiding scholarly research.
She is the Founder and President of the Your Education Your Voice Initiative and the Standing By Your Dream Initiative, both dedicated to empowering girls and expanding educational access in Nigeria. Her work bridges leadership principles with educational frameworks to strengthen institutions, promote inclusive practices, and inspire future leaders. Dr. Nana has published extensively and continues to mentor students and professionals across disciplines.

Dr. Chris
Ph.D, DBA
Dr. Christian O. Akaeze holds two doctoral degrees—a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership. He is a dedicated senior adjunct professor at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY, and multiple other institutions in the USA and Nigeria, including the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where he teaches courses in business education and management.With over 10 years of teaching experience, Dr. Akaeze combines academic knowledge with real-world practice. His research and professional interests include organizational leadership, strategic management, educational innovation, and the role of diaspora communities in socio-economic development. He has published multiple works on higher education policy, leadership practices, and sustainable development, and he also serves as a consultant, helping organizations build effective leadership and growth strategies. Dr. Akaeze values inclusiveness and empathy in his teaching, ensuring every student feels supported. In addition to his academic and consulting work, he holds industry certifications, including those from Harvard University’s Strategic Management program, Six Sigma Black Belt, Scrum Master, and CompTIA Security Analyst, which keep him current with modern business and technology practices. He enjoys reading about business trends and spending time with his family.
